Toadi’s old sites
I changed from a static site to a dynamic blog site ran by Blosxom.
I rather liked blosxom because it was written in perl and I was a long time perl hacker so I could suit it to my needs. Like the switch I made from linux to windows on my laptop/desktop because because I got tired getting things to work to get things done. Same goes for blosxom.
Where did it go wrong? I installed the gallery2 photo gallery for easy uploading and sharing my pictures to family and friends I was writing a new plugin to make it easy for me to post thumbnails in my posts. It finally worked after a weekend of hacking. But I’m at phase I actually just want to blog, share my pictures and get on with it. This means I would rather have a working tools with lots of plugins so I could to straight away what I finally wanted to do.
This being said… Sometimes the developer inside of me really wants to get his hands dirty. But please people can I make a difference in the blog/photo album sphere with Yet Another blog/photo album tool? I don’t thinks so, so let me concentrate on making some good document management software where our PearlDoc are happy with.
